Divus Augustus, died AD 14. As (Copper, 30 mm, 11.51 g, 6 h), Rome, struck under Tiberius, circa 22/3-30. DIVVS•AVGVSTVS•PATER Radiate head of Divus Augustus to left. Rev. PROVIDENT / S - C Square altar with two doors and two horns left and right on top. BMC 146. CBN 131. Cohen 228. RIC 81. A lovely example with a fine portrait and an attractive dark green patina. Minor smoothing and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, about extremely fine.
